Financial Peace University

My husband and I recently began an enrichment class at our church. Our goal was to get some direction on how to get on a path to be COMPLETELY debt free. To our amazement, we have gotten more than just a specific plan to become debt free. In order to take the class, we purchased Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University Membership Kit. Each night we attend the class at church, we watch a DVD on Dave teaching. The lessons typically last about 1 hour, but it really does go fast! Dave educates and motivates all while making you laugh. Our kit includes:

1. a Financial Peace University (FPU) Workbook
2. an audio CD library plus two bonus CD’s (these are AUDIO lessons of what we watch in class)
3. 2 FPU CD-ROMs (includes financial calculators, financial management forms, and an extra disc to share with a firend)
4. Dave’s national best-seller, “Financial Peace”
5. FPU Envelope system (a way to organize your money)
6. tip cards (a calculator for determining a tip for services)
7. debit card holders (a reminder that your financial peace depends on YOUR behavior)

Once you purchase the kit, you will also have access to the FPU website where you can download all the necessary forms and budgeting tools to help you be successful. Since we have started the class, we are much more aware of what we are spending. Dave suggests that you start using cash instead of your debit card. Why? Isn’t it the same thing? You will begin to feel more attached to your cash when you are giving that out of your hand than your plastic card. The results of spending with cash are immediate where as the transaction with a debit card may not show up in your account for a day or two. You will also learn how to begin saving for all of life’s little emergencies-the car breaking down, new school clothes, Christmas! All the events we typically put on a credit card.

Dave will change your life! Don’t let society brainwash you into thinking that debt is a way of life. Okay, it is for most. But, it is not the way it is supposed to be. It is definitely not how God wants us to use the gifts he bestows on us.

Don’t waste any more time digging yourself deeper into debt! Dave will guide you and change the way you think and handle your money.
